About
Drag Idol was founded in 2004 originally by Jon Bishop & Natasha Mort who were looking for a fun way to raise money for local HIV charities. DCB as been involved from the very start as a Judge and then years later became the Organiser of the event. Drag Idol became the biggest Drag Contest in the North and at it's peak was hosted at the world famous Royal Armouries & Centenary Pavilion in Leeds.
DCB raised thousands of pounds every year for local HIV charity Yorkshire Mesmac & Leeds Skyline, with the help of the LGBT community in Leeds, his team and the main Sponsors, Drag Idol concluded in 2011 raising over £50,000.
